<br/><br/> The Wanchos of Arunachal Pradesh are a hardy and spirited community. Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture [VKIC] organised a Seminar in collaboration with the community's representative body, the Wancho Cultural Society, in February, 2006. It was an effort to genuinely examine the Wancho traditional systems from the community's perspective and correct deliberate mistranslations passed down from the British time onwards that have led to highly incorrect notions about the Wanchos' traditional systems.
